My thoughts and prayers are with the entire Tate family. Tony will truly be missed. He worked at MTSU with my father-in-law Carl "Corky" Pincheon in the LRC building before his passing in 1998. Tony meant a lot to me and my family. He never once forgot to ask about the family when he saw me on campus. I will forever remember him. Go on and take your rest Tony until we meet again my friend.
Sincerely,
Tamala Pincheon

I enjoyed working with and chatting with you during my time at MTSU so many years ago, Anthony. You always had kind words and a smile, even when I was stressed out over some network thing. You'll be missed. Prayers for your family.

I don’t know how to express the loss. Life keeps us in our on path and only occasionally do we get to spend time with those who mean so much. I never remember life without Anthony but relied on those occasions to catch up and renew. He was the kind of friend that you always picked up where you left off. He was a friend to Renee’ and my girls. He was one of the best Fathers I’ve ever known and was in a class of his own as a Grandfather.
Loved his Mother and respected her greatly. Great brother and Uncle. Connie brought great joy and adventures to his life. He loved his work and those he worked with. A gentle giant who will never be replaced. Thanks for a lifetime of friendship...Until we meet again.

Just recently met with Anthony about IT needs for planned training. Before we got started he talked about his hunting trip in New Mexico with sons and needing to plan another one. I am blessed to have known his kindness and compassion for family, friends and colleagues.

Anthony was truly one of a kind. His incredible positive and joyful personality endured him to everyone. He was always willing to help and never expected anything in return. His contributions to us at the College of Education were immeasurable. We have lost a precious and beloved treasure with his passing. Godspeed my friend, go in peace.

Tony was one of those people that could always make you feel better with whatever is going on with you. He always had something to say that would make you laugh. Not only was he that way at work if you saw him out somewhere he would make sure to talk to you where ever you were. I'm going to miss his smile and his fun conversations. Rest In Heaven Tony! Gone be never ever forgotten
