Obituary of Edward Joseph Lang

 Altamont, Tennessee – Mr. Edward Joseph Lang, 73, of the Skymont Community, passed away Friday November 29, 2019 at the home of his nephew in Slidell, Louisiana.  He was born in West Palm Beach, Florida on October 14, 1946 to Edward William Lang and Rita Josephine Foley Lang who preceded him in death along with his brother, Forrest Dale; sisters, Donna Koch and Deborah Ann Latham.

He was retired from Carrier Corporation as a Production Engineer.  He served in the US Army Reserves Combat Engineering Unit.  He was of the Catholic faith attending St. Catherines in McMinnville and St. Marks in Manchester. He grew up in Lake Worth, Florida and graduated from Cardinal Newman High School.

He is survived by his sons, Edward J. Lang Jr., Chatsworth, GA,  Bradley Thomas (Chirou) Lang, Upland, CA and Matthew (Melanie) Lang, Franklin, TN; grandchildren, Chandler, Zachary, Alexander and Lucas; several nieces and nephews. 

Visitation will be Friday December 6, 2019,  5:00 PM – 8:00 PM with a Prayer service at 6:30 PM led by Father Lubrano at Layne Funeral Home, Altamont, Tennessee. www.laynefuneralhome.com

Funeral Mass services will be10:00 AM Saturday December 7, 2019 at Saint Catherine's Catholic Church in McMinnville, Tennessee with Father Noble officiating with a reception to follow in the Alexandria Hall at the Church. 

Graveside services will be held 2:00 PM Saturday at the AirView Cemetery in Altamont following the reception at the Church.
