Gruetli-Laager - Mr. Harley Cleveland "H.C." Tate died Tuesday February 5, 2013. He was a US NAVY Veteran and a member of the American Legion. He was born in Gruetli-Laager, Tennessee on August 8, 1932 to Harley and Bessie Bradey Tate who preceded him in death along with his sister, Laverne Ables. He is survived by his wife, Joan Fletcher Licht Tate; sons, Gary, Grant, Gerald, Joey and Glen Tate; daughters, Felisha (Kapen) Totherow and Lisa Rector; sister, Dola Scissom; grandchildren, Destiney, Gavin, Bailey, Kylie, Alexa, Chasmine, Sierra, Anthony, Jeremy, Mary, Grant and Michael; 2 great grandchildren; loving nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Friday in the funeral home chapel with Minister Clayton Jones officiating with burial to follow in the Fall Creek Cemetery with military honors provided by the Sequatchie Valley Honor Guard. Visitation: 5:00 PM - 10:00 PM Wednesday and 10:00 AM - 10:00 PM Thursday at Layne Funeral Home, Palmer, Tennessee. www.laynefuneralhome.com
