Obituary of Ernest John McIntosh

Altamont, Tennessee – Mr. Ernest John McIntosh, 78, passed away Thursday January 16, 2020 at his home in Altamont. He was born in Cedar Rapids, Iowa on April 22, 1941 to Floyd C. McIntosh and Ann Margaret Gaston McIntosh who preceded him in death along with his sisters, Shirley Bruce and Noreen Phelps; brother, Floyd McIntosh. He was retired from the US Army after 23 years service serving in Vietnam and was a corrections officer with the State of Tennessee. He is survived by his wife, Wanda Daniel McIntosh; son, Robert Ernest McIntosh, Rochester, MN; daughters, Danyelle (Craig) Carlysle, Radcliff, KY and Misty Andrews, Gruetli-Laager, TN; brother, Eugene F. McIntosh, Cedar Rapids, IA; grandchildren, Dillon Carlysle and Scarlett Andrews; brother-in-law, Glenn (Robin) Daniel, Huntsville, AL; sister-in-law, Sheila (Melvin) Woodlee, Altamont; several nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be 2:00 PM Sunday January 26, 2020 in the funeral home chapel.
