Obituary of Tonny Wilkie Newson

Gruetli-Laager, Tennessee – Mr. Tonny Wilkie Newson, 58, passed away Friday February 14, 2020 unexpectedly in Watford City, North Dakota while away from home for his job. He was born in Palmer, Tennessee on July 21, 1961 to Charles Wilkie Newson and Velma Louise Norris Newson who preceded him in death along with his father-in-law, Jim Nolan. He was a US Navy veteran working on a Nuclear Submarine and serving during Desert Storm. He was a computer programer working for DSI in the oil industry in North Dakota. He is survived by his wife, Laura Willoughby Newson of Gruetli-Laager; son, Logan C. Newson of Nashville; brother, Tommy (Shirley) Newson of Whitwell; mother-in-law, Barbara Nolan; a host of loving brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held 7:00 PM Thursday in the funeral home chapel with Ministers, Tommy Newson and Daniel Willoughby officiating.
