Altamont, Tennessee – Mrs. Shirley Jean Fitch, 68 , passed away Saturday February 29, 2020 in McMinnville, Tennessee. She was born in McMinnville, Tennessee on November 27, 1951 to Warner Turner Sr. and Jessie R. McCormick Turner who preceded her in death along with her husband, Douglas Fitch; brother, Warner Jr. “Man” Turner; sisters, Anita Hill, Mary Ellen Turner and Hazel Mae Thomas.
She attended the Faith Missionary Church in Gruetli-Laager and worked in the tree nursery business most of her life.
She is survived by her daughter, Lisa (James) Anderson; son, Lee Doug Fitch; brothers, Johnny (Joyce) Turner and Bobby Turner; grandchildren, Jade (Jeremy) Wanamaker and Brandon Anderson; great grandson, Braxton Wanamaker; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Tuesday in the funeral home chapel with Minister Wayne Norris officiating with burial to follow in the Altamont Cemetery. Visitation: 3:00 PM – 9:00 PM Monday at Layne Funeral Home, Altamont, Tennessee. www.laynefuneralhome.com
