Palmer, Tennessee – Mr. Charles Wesley Green Sr., 87, passed away Wednesday March 18, 2020 at his home in Beersheba Springs, Tennessee. He was born in Palmer, Tennessee on July 22, 1932 to David Wesley Green and Pearl Nunley Green who preceded him in death along with his wife, Juanita Campbell Green; sisters, Alrene Long and Gail Irvin; brothers, Ottis, Everett and William “Red” Green.
Charles was retired from Carrier and was a member of the Sheet Metal Workers Local 483. He was a US Army veteran of the Korean Conflict.
He is survived by his daughter, Janie Darlene (Carl) Layman of Palmer; sons, Rickey (Teresa) Green, Beersheba Springs and Charles Wesley “Chuck” Green Jr. of Coalmont; sister, Geneva Bouldin, McMinnville, Tennessee; 8 grandchildren; 16 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 3:00 PM Saturday in the funeral home chapel with Minister Chad Smith officiating with burial to follow in the Palmer Cemetery. Visitation: 5:00 PM – 9:00 PM Friday at Layne Funeral Home, Palmer, Tennessee.
