Obituary of Carl Edward Borne

Gruetli-Laager, Tennessee – Mr. Carl Edward “Boot Legger” Borne, 79, passed away Friday April 3, 2020 at his son’s home in Gruetli-Laager. He was born in Gruetli-Laager, Tennessee on August 25, 1940 to George Washington Borne and Della Frances Collins who preceded him in death along with his sister, Agnes McCreary. He was retired from US Pipe in Chattanooga, Tennessee. He is survived by his sons, Raymond (Cindy) Borne and Edward (Rhonda) Borne; sisters, Velma “Shine” Scissom, Wanda Smith, Juanita (Jacob) Anderson and Margaret Ann Gibbs; 9 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; several loving nieces and nephews. Graveside funeral services will be 2:00 PM Sunday at the Fall Creek Cemetery with Minsiters Jacob Anderson and R.B. Slatton officiating.
