Chattanooga, Tennessee – Mrs. Nancy Lou Grooms Parmley, 80, of Red Bank, passed away Sunday April 5, 2020 at the Hospice of Chattanooga Care Center. She was born in Pelham, Tennessee on June 23, 1939 to John Leonard Grooms and Katherine Clementine Patton Grooms who preceded her in death along with her husband, Haskel Benny Parmley; brother. Richard Dean Grooms.
She was a loving wife and mother to her husband and children. She was a real estate agent with Century 21 and was a member of the Philadelphia Church of God.
She is survived by her daughter, Jennifer Parmley, Tracy City; sons, Jason and his wife Julie Waddell Parmley, Fallon, Nevada and Jonathan Grooms Parmley, Red Bank; sisters, Jeanette Grooms and her husband George Bohannon of Pelham, Betty Grooms and her husband Mitchell Lawson of Monteagle and Jane Ellen Grooms of Chattanooga; grandchildren, Jennifer Lauren (Josh) Flanary, Audra Madeline (Kevin) Lopez and Abby
Parmley; great grandchildren, Vivian Clair Flanary and Jason David Lopez; several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held 1:00 PM Saturday November 7, 2020 at the Foster and Lay Chapel of Cumberland Funeral Home in Tracy City with burial to follow in the Fall Creek Cemetery in Gruetli-Laager, Tennessee.
