Obituary of Dustin Cody Boyd Johnson

Gruetli-Laager, Tennessee – Mr. Dustin Cody Boyd Johnson, 26, passed away Tuesday April 28, 2020 at the STRHS Hospital in Sewanee. He was born in Winchester, Tennessee on November 3, 1993. Dustin was a jack of all trades. He loved people and had a heart for the broken. He had a passion for animals that can’t be measured. He was a member of the New Life Ministry Church in Altamont. He loved his church family. He is survived by his wife, Eliza Gibbs Johnson; father, Robert Johnson; mother, Shannon (Johnny) Barks; sons, Alex and Robert Johnson; daughters, Brynlynn Alexander, Navai Sukelich and Anna who is due to be born in September; brothers, Timothy (Anna) Johnson and Tyler Johnson; 1 half sister and 2 half brothers; maternal grandmother, Bonnie Green; paternal grandparents, Boyd and Ruth Johnson; mother and father-in-law, Kevin and Michelle Gibbs; nieces, Sidney and Mattison Johnson; nephews, Thomas and Jacob Johnson. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Sunday, May 3, 2020 at New Life Ministry Church with Ministers, Wayne Norris, Mack Hampton, C.J. Gibbs and George Bryant officiating with burial to follow in the Coalmont Cemetery. Visitation will be at the Church, Friday 4:00 PM - 10:00 PM, Saturday 9:00 AM - 10:00 PM and Sunday 9:00 AM until time of services. Arrangements by Layne Funeral Home, Palmer, Tennessee
