Altamont, Tennessee – Mr. Michael Joe Batey, 66, passed away Thursday May 14, 2020 at his home. He was born in Nashville, Tennessee on October 11, 1953 to Leonard Earl Batey and Grace Elizabeth Taylor Batey who preceded him in death along with several siblings.
He was retired from Cargill Steel and Wire in Nashville, Tennessee.
He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Sharon Batey; sons, Kevin Shane Batey, Fayetteville, TN and Robert Lee Batey, Clarksville, TN; brother, Donald Ray Batey, Nashville, TN; sisters, Betty Ruth Estes and Myrtle Marie Johnson, both of Nashville, TN; 3 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
