Obituary of Paul Edward Layne

 Valley Head, Alabama – Mr. Paul Edward Layne, 75, passed away Thursday October 8, 2020 at his home.  He was born in Palmer, Tennessee on June 14, 1945 to Harley Layne and Roxie Graham Layne who preceded him in death along with his daughter, Melinda; brothers, Hershell, Jeff, Charles and Stanley Layne; grandsons, Hershell Layne and Casey Kilgore

He was a US Army veteran and was a retired maintenance tech at Erlanger Hospital.

He is survived by his wife, Mildred Johnson Layne; son, Ray Layne (Dana Collins); daughters, Roxie Layne (Kent) Johnson, Charlene  (Jodi) Schafer, Darlene Pollard, Stella Marie Kilgore Vandergriff, Doris Layne and Dora (Bobo) Hicks; brothers, Leon and Earl (Vikki) Layne; sisters, Sue (Stanley) Coppinger and Dot (Jim) Worley; grandchildren, Paula Burgess, Brandy M. Bowman, Jessica Schaffer, Joni Schaffer, Garrett Pollard and Justin Layne, Bill Bunch, Kimberly Tate, Miranda Kilgore, Misty Layne, Crystal Pollard, Virginia Landers and Jeffery Aaron; several great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 2:00 Sunday in the funeral home chapel with Minister Stanley Coppinger officiating with burial to follow in the Griffith Creek Cemetery.  Visitation: 3:00 PM – 9:00 PM Saturday at Layne Funeral Home, Palmer, Tennessee. www.laynefuneralhome.com
