Obituary of Robert Martin Cullom

  South Pittsburg, Tennessee – Mr.   Robert Martin Cullom, 69, passed away February 21, 2021 after a lengthy chronic illness. He was born in Chattanooga, Tennessee, and was a lifelong resident of South Pittsburg, Tennessee.
        He was a graduate of the Baylor School and attended the University of Tennessee at Knoxville. Mr. Cullom was a United States Marine and a member of the Rotary Club in South Pittsburg, both like his Father, John Cullom.
        He was the Assistant Manager at Marion County Gas Company for many years. Prior to that he worked in the family business, Valley Tire and Supply Company with his Father and Uncle.
        He was preceded in death by his Mother, Wanda McMahan Cullom, and Father, John (Red) Webster Cullom and his beloved wife, Lynn Womble Cullom.
        He is survived by his son, Robert Martin (Erica) of South Pittsburg, Tenn. and their two children Carsyn Red and Carmyn; his sisters, Connie Cullom Higgason, Lookout Mountain, Tennessee ( the late John Higgason) and Christie Cullom Cooley, South Pittsburg, Tennessee (  Billy); his three nieces, Katherine Higgason Lentz (Jason), Charlotte Higgason Gregorie (Doug), Lauren Cooley Sowder (Garrett) and several great nieces and nephews.
        Robert’s ashes will be placed alongside his wife Lynn’s ashes in a beautiful glen in Sweeten’s Cove.
        A Memorial service will be held Saturday, February 27 at Holly Avenue Methodist Church at 1:00 PM. Visitation 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM Satruday at the church.
        Memorial contributions may be made to Holly Avenue Church, Parkinson's Foundation or a contribution of your choosing.
