Obituary of Franklin Eugene Hobbs

Gruetli-Laager, Tennessee – Mr. Franklin Eugene Hobbs “Frankie”, 66, passed away Friday May 21, 2021 at his home after a long battle with cancer.  He was blessed to be pain free for most of that time.

He was a member of the Laager Independent Methodist Church and was treasurer for many years.  He had many friends at church who always remembered him in prayer.

He was retired from Tullahoma Industries.  He was a friend to many and had many friends in return.  He is so missed by his sisters.

He was born in Coalmont, Tennessee on October 31, 1954 to Isham Hobbs and Agnes Reagan Hobbs who preceded him in death along with his sister, Sharon Hobbs; brother, Alan Hobbs.

He is survived by his sisters, Linda Coppinger, Janie Meeks, Elfa (James) Scruggs and Sandy Hobbs; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 3:00 PM Monday in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Matthew Meeks officiating with burial to follow in the Fall Creek Cemetery. Visitation 4:00 PM – 9:00 PM Sunday at Layne Funeral Home, Palmer, Tennessee. www.laynefunerahome.com
