Obituary of John William Stewart

 Palmer, Tennessee – Mr. John William “Jay” Stewart, 95, died Friday June 18, 2021 at the Vanderbilt Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee.

He was born in Sherwood, Tennessee on May 13, 1926 to Harvey Stewart and Flora Mae Glisson Stewart who preceded him in death along with his wife, Johnnie Ruth Smith Stewart; brother, Harvey Stewart Jr.; sisters, Lois White and Edna Stewart.

He was retired from the Arnold Palmer Pro Golf in Chattanooga and was a US Army veteran of WWII serving overseas with the 129^th Infantry Regiment 37^th Division.

He is survived by several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Monday in the funeral home chapel with Minister Riley Anderson with burial to follow in the Palmer Cemetery with Military Honors provided by the Sequatchie Valley Honor Guard.
