Wanda was a good Christian woman and a dear friend. Her father, the late M.C. "Bud" Hampton, was a legendary pastor in Grundy County. A lifetime resident of the Tatesville Community in Palmer, Wanda was the "go to" person and an invaluable help with my history work with the town and its people. My sincere sympathy is extended to her family and friends in their loss.
