Obituary of Loretta Ann Philpot

Gruetli-Laager, Tennessee – Mrs. Loretta Ann Hammers, 73, passed away Monday August 2, 2021, at the Unity Medical Center in Manchester, Tennessee.  She was born in Palmer, Tennessee on March 17, 1948, to Hubert Hammers and Rosa Nell Scruggs Hammers who preceded her in death along with her granddaughter, Deanna Rollins,; brothers, James, Ronald and Dale Hammers.

She is survived by her sons, Brian (Angie) Gibbs and Kevin (Michelle) Gibbs; daughter, Bridgett (Dean) Nunley; brothers, Robert (Carol) Hammers, Tim (Debbie) Hammers and Tony Hammers; sisters, Linda Anderson, Sue (Jr) Dodson, Mary Rollins, and Darlene (Mike) McDaniel; grandchildren, Sarah, C.J., Eliza, Dalton, Dustin and Shala; 4 great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Thursday in the funeral home chapel with Minister Wayne Norris officiating with burial to follow in the Palmer Cemetery.

Visitation: 5:00 PM – 9:00 PM Wednesday at Layne Funeral Home, Palmer, Tennessee.
