COALMONT - Charles E. Bishop, Sr., 83, passed away Monday, May 27, 2013 at Sheltering Arms Home in Palmer, TN. He was born on September 17, 1929 in Vicksburg, MS being born 8th of 9 children. He was a member of the Seventh-Day Adventist Church in Beersheba Springs, TN. He was a Pharmacist most of his adult life, working at Palmer Drug as his last job. He is survived by his wife, Brenda Bishop; son, Charles E. Bishop, Jr. of McDonald, TN; daughter, Pamela Pierre, Chattanooga, TN; sisters, Patsy Hutson, of Puckett, MS and Gloria Logan of Pearl, MS; step-children, Kelly Mapes, Fall Branch, TN and Wendy O'Rafferty, Defuniak Springs, FL; 15 grandchildren; MS. Graveside funeral services will be 4:00 PM EDT Wednesday, May 29, 2013 at the Collegedale Memorial Park. A memorial service will be held Tuesday June 4, 2013 at 4:00 PM CDT at the Cumberland Heights Seventh-Day Adventist Church. Arrangements by Layne Funeral Home, Palmer, TN.
