Altamont - Mr. William Melvin Christman, 66, passed away at Raintree Manor Nursing Home in McMinnville surrounded by his family. He was born in Greensboro, North Carolina. He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Kate Christman and Elizabeth Zimmerman; half-brother, Jerry Oliver. He is survived by his wife, Patricia Holt Christman; sons, William M. (Ronda) Christman Jr. of Hixson and Jeffery Mark Anthony Christman, Seminole, Florida; half-brothers, William Oliver, Bartlett, IL, Terry Oliver, Greensboro, NC and Larry Oliver, Savannah, GA; grandchildren, Eli, Brian and Shawn Christman; several nieces and nepews. A Memorial service will be held 5:00 PM Friday June 7, 2013 at the Little Creek Baptist Church in Altamont with Bro. Dal Barrett officiating.
