In the 1980's Russell and Brenda lived in the Chiggertown Community of Palmer. I mowed their yard one summer when he was pastor of Wesley's Chapel Holiness Church. I went with a group from the church to the Knoxville Zoo. I was saddened to hear of Russell's passing and extend my sincere sympathy to his family and friends.

Bro. Irvin wasn't just mine and my family's Pastor, but he was our friend and our family. We love him and his precious family very much. And there was never a doubt he loved us. He will be missed terribly, and my heart aches yet rejoices at the same time knowing that he's with His Lord and Saviour. Whom he has loved and been dedicated to all these years. There are no words adequate enough for such a Saint of God as Bro. Irvin. Truly he preached his own funeral by the life he lived. My heart goes out to you Sis. Irvin, Sis. Tabitha, Jason, and all the family. I love you all.
