Mr. Turney was a kind and loving soul and helped me many times at the Jasper Drop Inn Center. He will be missed by many.

Mr. Turney was one of my favorite teachers at South Pittsburg. I didn't make 100's to much, but when I did he would give me a little American flag on a toothpick. My appreciation for history today is because of him. He was a great man! Alvin Case 1 Peter 5:7

Mr. Turney was my favorite teacher in high school. His class was always fun and that's where my love of history came from and continues to this day. He always had a smile and a "how are you" when you saw him out somewhere and always asked about my brother. My brother worked for him during the summers when he was over the parks in South Pittsburg. My thoughts and prayers are with his family during this difficult time. Rest in peace. Terrie Scharer Class of 1976
