Obituary of James Robert Forsyth
Beersheba Springs, Tennessee – Mr. James Robert Forsyth, 74, passed away Monday February 28, 2022, at the Saint Thomas Midtown Hospital in Nashville, Tennessee. He was born in Beersheba Springs, Tennessee on March 14, 1947, to Joseph Thomas Forsyth and Sarah Rhevena Baker Forsyth who preceded in in death along with his brother, A.C. Forsyth; sisters, Rose Pease and Delma Meeks.
He was a US Army veteran of Vietnam and was retired from Powermatic.
He was a faithful member of the Church of Christ at Altamont until his health declined.
He is survived by his wife, Mildred McCormick Forsyth; daughters, Teresa Fay Forsyth and Amy Brown; sons, James Edward (Diane), Jerry Dewayne (Jeanette) and Bobby Eugene Forsyth and Jeffery (Sheila) Rogers; brothers, Roy and Joe Forsyth; sister, Emma Fincher; several grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held 11:00 PM Friday in the funeral home chapel with Minister Eddie Birdwell officiating with burial to follow in the Walker Cemetery.
Visitation: 5:00 PM -8:00 PM Thursday at Layne Funeral Home, Altamont, Tennessee.
