Obituary of Hester Partin

Palmer, Tennessee – Mrs. Hester Nunley Partin, 76, passed away Tuesday March 22, 2022, at her home.  She was born in Palmer, Tennessee on April 27, 1945, to Wesley Nunley and Bertha Layne Nunley who preceded her in death along with her husband, Larry Partin; brothers, Raymond Nunley, Smiley and James Fults.

She attended the Barkers Cove Community Church. She operated Partin’s Package store in Palmer for several years, worked at Oster in McMinnville and the last 15 years she worked at the L & L Market in Coalmont before her retirement.

She is survived by her daughter, Angela Denise “Porky” Partin; son, Larry “Tykie” (Sonia) Partin; sisters, Geneva (George) Byford, Doris (Jim) Campbell, Earlene (Glen) Basham, Stella (Benny) Kilgore, Elsie (Charleston) Nolan and Regina (Tim) Sons; grandchildren, Blake Harrison, Roland Partin, Josh Partin, Zac Partin (Kat), Chelsea Hampton, Lyndsay Williams, Peyton Mainord, Jaden Nance, Courtney Nance, Christina Nance and Chloe Nance; great grandchildren, Jacob, Raycen, Mason, Junior, Saylor, Eli Silas, Sadie, Brandson and Baylee; a host of nieces and nephews; family friend, Tracy Street.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Friday in the funeral home chapel with Minister Chad Smith officiating with burial to follow in the Palmer Cemetery.

Visitation: 5:00 PM – 9:00 PM Thursday at Layne Funeral Home, Palmer, Tennessee.
