Obituary of James Bobo Partin

Palmer, Tennessee – Mr. James Bobo Partin, 96, passed away Friday April 15, 2022, at the Piedmont Cartersville Medical Center in Cartersville, Georgia.  He was a resident of Acworth, Georgia. 

He was born in Palmer, Tennessee on February 17, 1926, to Benjamin Franklin Partin and Ollie Jackson Cagle Partin who preceded him in death along with his wife, Marion Hattey Partin; sons, Michael, and Ronald Partin; sisters, Imogene Smith, Bessie King and June Anderson; brother, Jack Partin.

Mr. Partin was a US Army veteran.  He worked as a Master Machinist at Lockheed until his retirement.

He is survived by his grandson, Michael (Kimberly) Partin of Cartersville, Georgia; great grandchildren, Lacy and Morgan Partin; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Tuesday in the funeral home chapel with burial to follow in the Browns Chapel Cemetery with Military Honors provided by the Sequatchie Valley Honor Guard.

Visitation: 12:00 Noon – 2:00 PM Tuesday at Layne Funeral Home, Palmer, Tennessee.
