Obituary of Mildred Mae Kilgore

Beersheba Springs, Tennessee – Mrs. Mildred Mae Kilgore, 82, passed away Sunday April 17, 2022, at the Saint Thomas Midtown Hospital in Nashville, Tennessee.  She was born in Altamont on July 28, 1939, to Cheatum Myers and Lena Risner Myers who preceded her in death along with her husband, Frank Emmitt Kilgore, brothers, Ellis, Parker and Dalton Myers.

She was a homemaker and was of the Baptist faith.

She is survived by her daughters, Glenda Smartt, Deborah Lesnick and Kimberly (Ed) Green; sons, Edward and Scottie Kilgore; sisters, Christine Smartt and Ruby Kilgore; grandchildren, Melissa Woodlee, Tina Mullins, Danny Keith Smartt, Marina Long, Kara Gonder, Kylan Green and Cody Kilgore; great grandchildren, Courtney, Ethan, Blake, Jenna, Max, Margo, Melody, Edyn, Avery and Lane; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Wednesday in the funeral home chapel with Minister Jerry Lusk officiating with burial to follow in the Fults Cemetery.

Visitation: 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM Wednesday at Layne Funeral Home, Altamont, Tennessee.
