Obituary of Bonnie Lorrine Borne

GRUETLI-LAAGER - Mrs. Bonnie Lorrine Borne, 93, passed away Thursday, May 5, 2022. She was born on July 12, 1928 to J.D and Irene Meeks Sweeton who preceded her in death along with her husband, Howard Borne; sister, Sarah Harper; brothers, Hershel Roberts, Bernice, Paul and Clifford Sweeton. She was also preceded in death by her grandparents, Vester and Dollie Meeks who raised her after her mothers death when Bonnie was 8 months old.

She is survived by her son, Charles Ronnie (Brenda) Borne; daughters, Lynda Ruehling Shrum, Alice Sweeton, Joe Ann Ware and Anita Thompson; 18 grandchildren; several great, great-great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. 

Funeral services will be 3:00 PM Tuesday in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Mike Rigsby, Pastor Arnold Schnell and Chad Schoenmann officiating with burial to follow in the Fall Creek Cemetery.

Visitation will be 11:00 AM until time of service Tuesday at Layne Funeral Home, Palmer, Tennessee
