Obituary of Elsie Nolan

Palmer, Tennessee – Mrs. Elsie Nolan, 79, passed away Friday May 20, 2022, at the Erlanger Medical Center in Chattanooga, Tennessee.  She was born in Tracy City, Tennessee near Flat Branch to Wesley Nunley and Bertha Layne Nunley who preceded her in death along with her sister, Hester Partin; brother, Raymond Nunley; half-brothers, Smiley and James Fults.

She attended the Barkers Cove Community Church. 

She is survived by her husband, Raymond Charleton Nolan; son, Eugene “Rudy” Nolan; daughters, Shelia (Ray) Stephenson, Rhonda Miller and Sherry (Dale) Walls; sisters, Geneva (George) Byford, Doris (Jim) Campbell, Earlene (Glen) Basham, Stella (Benny) Kilgore, Regina (Tim) Sons; grandchildren, Kyle (Charity) Nolan, Stephen (Makayla) Campbell, Kayla (Brandon) Layne and Kelsie (Matt) Kilgore; great grandchildren, LeeAnna, Javan, Josiah, Judah and Jaxton; a host of loving nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Monday in the funeral home chapel with Minister Chad Smith officiating with burial to follow in the Palmer Cemetery.

Visitation: 4:00 PM – 9:00 PM Sunday at Layne Funeral Home, Palmer, Tennessee.
