Obituary of Bonnie Lou Caldwell

Coalmont, Tennessee – Mrs. Bonnie Cook Caldwell, 87, passed away Friday June 24, 2022, at Parkridge Hospital in Chattanooga, Tennessee. She was born in Huntsville, Alabama on March 28, 1935, to Elmer Cook and Flora White Cook Lewis who preceded her in death along with her husband, Herbert Edward “Herbie” Caldwell; son, Jeff Caldwell; son-in-law, Johnny Green.

She had worked at local garment and hat factories before her retirement.  She attended the Gum Springs Church until her health declined.

She is survived by her daughters, Cynthia Green and Patty (Ricky) Brown; sister, Carolinda Layne; grandchildren, Dennis, Terry, John (Misty), Traci (Ronald), Tyler (Ashton) and Dylan (Lacey); great grandchildren, McKenzie, Kameryn, Nick, Jeffery, Jeremiah and Summer; great-great grandchildren, Emmitt, Amelia and Luna; nephew, Todd Layne; several other nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Monday in the funeral home chapel with Ministers, Jessie Lockhart, Ernest Lockhart and Jacob Anderson officiating with burial to follow in the White Cemetery.

Visitation: 5:00 PM – 9:00 PM Sunday at Layne Funeral Home, Palmer, Tennessee.
