Obituary of Waymon McGee

Altamont, Tennessee – Mr. Herman Waymon McGee, 92, passed away Sunday June 26, 2022, at his home.   He was born in Altamont, Tennessee on July 28, 1929, to Herman McGee and May Fults McGee who preceded him in death along with his grandsons, Chase McGee and Kyle Chisam McGee; sisters, Evelyn Richardson and Willene Nelson.

He was a member of the Church of Christ at Altamont.  He worked at the Shirt Factory at Altamont for several years and Timber and Nursery.

He is survived by his wife, Mamie Woodlee McGee; sons, Doug McGee and Danny (Patricia) McGee; brothers, Alton and Loyd McGee; sisters, Linda McGee, Edith Huntley, Thelma Woodlee, and Melba Huntley; grandchildren, Michael (Melissa) McGee and Kristin Griffith; 6 great grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

Graveside Funeral services will be held 12:00 noon Monday June 27, 2022 at the Fults Cemetery.

Visitation: 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM Monday at the Altamont Church of Christ.
