Obituary of Glenn William Phillips

Altamont, Tennessee – Mr. Glenn William Phillips, 66, passed away Monday September 26, 2022, at his home.  He was born in Palmer, Tennessee on March 20, 1956, to David Foster Phillips and Rubie Nell Davis Phillips who preceded him in death along with his brothers, Spec. Marvin F. Phillips, Jerry Lee Phillips and Billy Phillips; sister, Mary Ruth Shadrick; granddaughter, Angel Bess.

He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, Altamont Ward. 

He is survived by his wife, Terry Hobbs Phillips; daughter, Wendy (Donnie) Bess; brothers, James Earl Phillips and Kirk (Paula) Phillips; sister, Lucy (Paul) West; granddaughter, Emily Bess; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Thursday at the Church with Bishops Jody Campbell and Aaron Barrett officiating with burial to follow in the Fults Cemetery.

Visitation: 3:00 PM – 9:00 PM Wednesday at Layne Funeral Home, Altamont, Tennessee and 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM Thursday.
