Gruetli-Laager - Mr. Douglas Woodrow Whitt "Papa Doug", 77, passed away Saturday August 10, 2013 at his home. He was born in Limestone County, Alabama to James Carl and Mary Eunice Balch Whitt who preceded him in death. He is survived by his son, John J. Whitt, Concord, NC; grandchildren, Tim Baker, Shasta Meeks, Darrah Meeks, Victoria Meeks, C.J. Baker, Colton McDaniel, Tony Baker, Carrie Norman, Jaxson Baker, Anya Baker, Deketa Layman, Maketa Layman, Destinee Borne, Rave Borne; great grandson, John Whitt III. Mr. Whitt was cremated at his request and there will be no service. Arrangements by: Layne Funeral Home, Palmer, Tennessee.
