Palmer, Tennessee – Mrs. Peggy Jean Finch, 72, passed away peacefully Saturday October 8, 2022, at her home surrounded by her family.

She was born in Nauvoo, Alabama on November 10, 1950, to Howard and Stella Andrews Wideman who preceded her in death along with her daughter, Sandy Garner Layne; sisters, Mary Wideman and Joan Finch; brother, Kenneth Wideman.

She attended the Palmer Church of God.

She is survived by her husband, Carl Finch; granddaughter, Rachel Layne; sisters, Frances Stockwell and Vicki Bivens; brothers, Kirby Dan (Ginger) and Dennis (Carol) Wideman; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Monday October 10, 1022, in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Dillon Morgan officiating with burial to follow in the Palmer Cemetery.

Visitation: 5:00 PM – 9:00 PM Sunday at Layne Funeral Home, Palmer, Tennessee.
