Palmer, Tennessee – Mr. James Thomas “Tommy” Anderson Jr., 73, passed away Wednesday October 26, 2022, at the Elk River Health and Rehab in Winchester, Tennessee.  He was born in Chattanooga, Tennessee on November 26, 1948, to James T. Anderson Sr. and Elvie Nolan Anderson who preceded him in death along with his infant brother, Harvey Anderson; brother, Raymond Anderson; sister, Nadine McWain.

He attended the Laager Methodist Church and worked for Grundy County at the Altamont Convenience Center before his health declined.

He is survived by his sister, Mary Turner; brothers, Bill and Jacob (Juanita) Anderson; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Thursday October 27, 2022, in the funeral home chapel with burial to follow in the Palmer Cemetery.

Visitation: 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM Thursday at Layne Funeral Home, Palmer, Tennessee.
