Obituary of Helen Ruth Arbuckle

Palmer, Tennessee – Mrs. Helen R. Arbuckle, 94, passed away Friday October 28, 2022, at the SVHC Emergency Room in Dunlap, Tennessee.

She was born in Palmer, Tennessee on January 24, 1928, to Webb Cunningham and Sarah Gipson Cunningham who preceded her in death along with her husbands, Reyburn Ackerman and Murray Arbuckle; sons. Joel and Paul Ackerman; sisters, Corrine Rollins and Tootie Tate; brothers, James, Todd, Bill, George and Shirley Cunningham.

Helen attended the Laager Methodist Church.

She is survived by her son, Ray (Betty) Brown; daughter, Diane (Terry) Crabtree; sister, Earlene Bryant; grandchildren, Stacy (Travis) Nunley, Dana (Shannon) Crabtree, Robin (Charlie) Smith, Jessica (Michael) Sweeney and Brandon Ackerman; 7 great grandchildren; 8 great great grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held 3:00 PM Sunday October 30, 2022, in the funeral home chapel with Minister Matthew Meeks officiating with burial to follow in the Fall Creek Cemetery.

Visitation: 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM Sunday at Layne Funeral Home, Palmer, Tennessee.
