I just cannot express the sadness I feel at the loss of my dearest friend.
Marian once told me I was the best friend she ever had and that small sentence meant more to me than any award or compliment I have ever received.
She was an angel on this earth, with so many wonderful sides of herself, I could write a book on how much she meant to me and to others.
She almost never turned down an opportunity to join with me on some of my adventures. We went to Louisiana, Indiana and even Cabo, Mexico, together.
I took her to Mardi Gras and I was there when she carved her first Jack-O-Lantern pumpkin. We went on hikes, canoeing, 4-wheeler rides, movies, plays, veterans events of every kind, dinners out and so much more together.
She was the first person to remember my Birthday and Anniversary. She was always the first person to bring me a Christmas present. And she saved my life by finding me on the floor and drove me to the hospital. Then proceeded to visit me for a month, every single day, until I was sent home. Then she spent the next month, helping me recover.
If you asked her for help, she would work on whatever you needed, that minute. There was no waiting, as she wanted you to know that she cared. And she truly cared not only about me, but about everyone.
She had read the Bible through so many times that I lost track and she was the most Christian and faithful person I ever knew.
Most of all, she was my caring, thoughtful and dearest friend. When I got the news of her passing, I cried all day long. I still can hardly say her name without feeling such great loss and sorrow.
God blessed me dearly by letting us lose our home in Mississippi only to gain a wonderful friend like Marian into my life. I had no idea that out of a tragedy, I would gain one of the greatest blessings a person could ever hope for in their life.
She was, and is, an angel and each day, I have thanked God for bringing us together.
With my love to her cherished family and with 16 years of wonderful memories of my dearest friend, Marian.
God bless you all, Kimberly (King)
