Obituary of Jeanetta Phylis Finch

Gruetli-Laager, Tennessee – Mrs. Jeanetta Phylis Finch, 86, passed away Thursday December 29, 2022, at her home.  She was born in Coalmont, Tennessee on July 21, 1936, to George Tate and Margaret Dyer Tate who preceded her in death along with her husband, Herschel Finch Jr; sons, Herschel Finch III and John Winfield Finch; brothers, Lynn Clyde and Clifford Tate; sisters, May Jocelean Collins, Carolyn Tate, Elizabeth Howell, Mildred Brown, Georgia Dishroon, Dorothy Sanders and Claudine Shirley.

She is survived by her grandchildren, John Jacob Finch, Diana Finch, Herschell Lee Finch IV, Brandi Jewell and Ross Davis; 5 great grandchildren; a host of loving nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Saturday January 7, 2023, in the funeral home chapel with burial to follow in the Palmer Cemetery.

Visitation: 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM Saturday January 7, 2023, at Layne Funeral Home, Palmer, Tennessee.
