Coalmont, Tennessee – Mrs. Kathy Diane Bivens, 43, passed away Saturday April 22, 2023, at the Saint Thomas Rutherford Hospital in Murfreesboro, Tennessee.  She was born in Sewanee, Tennessee on June 23, 1979.

She was preceded in death by her father, Richard Tate.

She is survived by her companion, Ricky Knight; mother, Sarah King Tate; daughters, Kelsey (Matthew) Woodlee and Mesha Borne; son Damion Cole Borne; brothers, Jessie (Carrie) and Richard (Tammy) Tate; sisters, Lahoma, Cynthia Putnum and Sarah Layne; grandchildren, Zaxtyn, Zendaya and Zoe; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Thursday in the funeral home chapel with Minister Alton Scruggs officiating with burial to follow in the Knight Family Cemetery.

Visitation: 10:00 AM – 2:00 PM Thursday at Layne Funeral Home, Palmer, Tennessee.
