Obituary of Marcella Darlene Grimes

Harrison, Tennessee – Mrs. Marcella Darlene Grimes, 70, passed away Sunday June 4, 2023, at the Bledsoe County Nursing Home.  She was born in Stevenson, Alabama on July 31, 1952, to Vestal Jordan and Bell Riddle Jordan who preceded her in death along with her husband, Dale Grimes; brother, Tommy Jordan.

She was a member of the Rossville Church of Christ.

She is survived by her son, Jeffery (Allison) Seay, Signal Mountain; daughter, Tonya (Shane) Sullivan, Rossville; sisters, Connie (David) Reece, Margaret (Keith) Slatton; brothers, Clifford (Jackie) Jordan, Leonard (Pattie) Jordan, Floyd Jordan and Lamar Rice  ; grandchildren, Schyler (Blake Strauss) Seay, Kolby (Jon) Crow, Kelsey Sullivan, Benjamin and Hannah Seay; great grandson, Wyatt Strauss; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 11:00 AM CDT Thursday in the funeral home chapel with Minister Jack James officiating with burial to follow in the Fall Creek Cemetery.

Visitation: 4:00 PM CDT – 8:00 PM CDT Wednesday at Layne Funeral Home, Palmer, Tennessee
