Obituary of Martha Kathleen Casseday

Jasper, Tennessee – Mrs. Martha Kathleen Casseday, 88, passed away Saturday June 10, 2023, at the Parkridge West Hospital in Jasper, Tennessee.  She was born in Peidmont, Alabama on April 21, 1935, to Rev. A.F. Pope and Ola Wolfe Pope who preceded her in death along with her husband of 67 years, Rev. Lynn H. Casseday; brother, William “Bill” Pope.

She was a member of the Jasper Church of the Nazarene and was a Pastors wife for most of her life.  She enjoyed playing the piano at church and at home. She loved to watch and support her grandchildren at their baseball and softball games.

She is survived by her daughters, Pamela (Scott) Hanson, Chattanooga, Tennessee and Vicki (Justin) Baker, Jasper, Tennessee; grandchildren, Blake Winstead and Haley Baker.

Funeral services will be held 1:00 PM Saturday June 17, 2023, at the Jasper Church of the Nazarene with Pastor Michael Campbell officiating with burial to follow in the Sequatchie Valley Memorial Gardens, Jasper, Tennessee.

The family will receive and greet friends: 11:00 AM – 1:00 PM Saturday at Jasper Church of the Nazarene.
