Gruetli-Laager, Tennessee – Mrs. Mildred Ruth McNeece, 79, passed away at the home of her son in Gruetli-Laager, Tennessee.  She was a native of South Pittsburg, Tennessee. She was born in South Pittsburg on May 31, 1944, to Harry R. Barnes and Mary Lou Bookout Barnes who preceded her in death along with her brothers, Craig, Thomas and James Barnes.

She is survived by her son, Virgil (Robin) McNeece; daughter, Sandy (Jeff) Mines; brother, Dean Barnes; sisters, Shirley Thomas, Kay Castle, Jenny McBee and Reba; 3 grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held 6:00 PM Friday in the funeral home chapel with Minister Chad Smith officiating.

Visitation: 4:00 PM – 6:00 PM Friday at Layne Funeral Home, Palmer, Tennessee
