Obituary of Joyce Jean Morrison

Palmer, Tennessee – Mrs. Joyce Jean Morrison, 75, passed away Thursday June 29, 2023, at the Hospital in Sewanee, Tennessee.  She was born in Palmer, Tennessee to Elton and Gladys Melton Worley who preceded her in death along with her sisters, Royce Sneed and Laurie Walker.

She was a homemaker and had worked and owned restaurants in Grundy County.

She is survived by her husband, Jack B. Morrison; son, Eugene (Lisa) Meeks; daughters, Carmen (James) Jones, Wanda Layne (Larry Morrison) and Michele (Tony) Wooten; 7 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Sunday in the funeral home chapel with burial to follow in the White Cemetery.

Visitation: 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM Saturday at Layne Funeral Home, Palmer, Tennessee.
