Obituary of Patricia Ann Cunningham

FREMONT, CA – Mrs. Patricia Ann Cunningham, 78, passed away, Saturday, July 8, 2023 at the Life Care Center of Hixson. She was born in Gruetli-Laager, TN on December 19, 1944 to Clint and Jewel Layne Pickett who preceded her in death.

She had a deep love for her family. Her husband, Gene, was the love of her life for the last 56 years. Her son, Chuck, was her pride and joy. She had a great love for their German Shepherds. Her sister, Judy, was her best friend and they were very close. She loved her great nephew, Gavin, like her grandson. She was fun loving and always up for an outing and doing things for her family. She loved flowers and the colors pink and purple were her favorite. Going places and especially shopping were her favorite things to do.  In the last few years she found a love for coloring. She would color for hours at a time and her pictures were beautiful and very detailed. She liked to read and kept us up on what was going on in the world. She loved and was loved deeply by her family and friends. She was dedicated, generous, and very caring. She is missed and will be missed forever.

She is survived by her husband, Eugene A. Cunningham; son, Charles “Chuck” Cunningham; sister, Judy (Richard) Dixon.

Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Wednesday in the funeral home chapel with burial to follow in Fall Creek Cemetery.

Visitation: 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM Tuesday at Layne Funeral Home, Palmer, TN
