Obituary of James Olney Cooke

COALMONT – Mr. James Olney Cooke, 84, passed away at his home Saturday, July 15, 2023. He was born on March 7, 1939 to Paul Grady and Maude Esther Green Cook who preceded him in death along with his brothers, Paul E. Cook and Joe M. Cook.

Mr. Cooke was Constable in Grundy County for several years.

He is survived by his wife, Earlene Scissom Cooke; son, Jeff (Elaine) Cook; granddaughters, Kristin (Phillip) Aslinger and Kaity Cook (Taylor Craig); sister, Anna Carol (EJ) Dishroon; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Sunday in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Cary Gomer and Bro. Grady Dishroon officiating with burial to follow in the Palmer Cemetery.
