Obituary of Earl Raymond Sanders

Gruetli-Laager, Tennessee – Mr. Earl Raymond “Bud” Sanders, 91, passed away Saturday July 29, 2023 at the Parkridge Hospital in Chattanooga, Tennessee.  He was born in Palmer, Tennessee on March 17, 1932 to Earl Raymond Sanders Sr. and Mary Louise Meeks Sanders Pocus who preceeded him in death along with his brother, Leo “Buck” Sanders and sister, Polly Burns; wife, Joan Ross Sanders.

Bud was a US Army veteran and member of the Laager Methodist Church.  He was retired from Signal Mountain Cement.

He is survived by his daughters, Janice (Derriel) Worley and Joyce Sanders; brother, Robert “Bob” Pocus; sister, Donna (Ronnie) Jones; grandson, Jimmy D. (Kyra) Worley; great grandchildren, Kynslee and Kaylee Worley; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Tuesday in the funeral home chapel with Ministers, Matthew Meeks, Bill Ross and Daniel Crabtree officiating with burial to follow in the Palmer Cemetery.

Visitation: 5:00 PM – 9:00 PM Monday at Layne Funeral Home, Palmer, Tennessee.
