Gruetli-Laager - Mrs. Mary Ethelene Hargis, 87, died at her home, Wednesday September 25, 2013. She was born in Gruetli-Laager on October 26, 1925 to Willie and Mary Mitchell Bean who preceded her in death along with her, husband, Jimmy Hargis; son, Joe Hargis; daughter, Wanda Hargis. 17 brothers and sisters also preceded her in death.
She is survived by her son, Larry Hargis; daughter, Edith Hargis; brother, Clyde (Ailene) Bean; grandchildren, Ryan and Aaron Hargis, Crystal McDaniel; 9 great grandchildren; special caregiver, Tracy Pressley; a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Saturday in the funeral home chapel with Ministers, Jessie Lockhart, Jacob Anderson and Larry Crabtree officiating with burial to follow in the Fall Creek Cemetery. Visitation: 4:00 PM - 10:00 PM Friday at Layne Funeral Home, Palmer, Tennessee. www.laynefuneralhome.com
