Tracy City - Mr. Lewis G. Roberts Jr., 68, died Wednesday November 6, 2013 at Emerald-Hodgson Hospital in Sewanee, Tennessee. He was a member of the Church of Christ at Altamont and had worked in Logging, Nursery and with Dairy Cattle. He was born in Gross's Cove in Grundy County to Lewis G. Roberts Sr. and Tennie Bouldin Roberts who preceded him in death along with his daughter, Kathy Darlene Smith; sister, Lena Mae Roberts; grandsons, Caleb Smith and Bryan Roberts.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Betty Sue Brymer Roberts; son, Charles Gordon (Sandra) Roberts of Lewisburg, TN; daughter, Kimberly Michelle Arnold, Tullahoma, TN; sisters, Mary Betty June Roberts and Patricia (Gerald) Austin, both of McMinnville, TN; 17 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren;
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Saturday with Ministers Joe D. Gray and Ray Winton officiating with burial to follow in the Altamont Cemetery. Visitation: 1:00 PM - 10:00 PM Friday at Layne Funeral Home, Altamont, Tennessee. www.laynefuneralhome.com
