Obituary of Eddie Junior Cox

Gruetli-Laager - Mr. Eddie Junior "Dickie" Cox, 56, died at his home Saturday November 9, 2013 with his family close by. He was a veteran of the Tennessee National Guard. He was born in Whitwell, Tennessee on September 25, 1957. He was preceded in death by his mother, Carolyn Sue Morrison Cox; grandparents, Lonnie and Turessa Ethel Morrison, James Herbert and Edith Mae Box Cox; brother, Charles "Docky" Edward Cox. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Kathy Borne Cox (August 4, 1973); daughters, Susan Renee' (Hussien) Al-Hussieni, Heather Dawn (Jason) Cain, Abbie Darlene (Juan) Lopez, Jennifer-Lynn Hope (Francisco) Colin; sons, John Eddie Shawn (Kelly Johnson) and Lonnie Michael Shane Cox; father, John Edward Cox; sisters, Dreama "Sissy" (Randell) Spears and Brenda (Banny) Davis; grandchildren, Zachary (Summer) Harrell, Hunter Floyd, Courtnee, Deanna and Tyler Sells, Jacob, Johnathan and Jayden Cox, William Nunley, Lilly Byrd, Alyssa-Lynn Hope Frazier; step grandchildren, Malak and Bashaar and Justin; loving nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Tuesday in the funeral home chapel with Minister Raymond Borne officiating with burial to follow in the Swiss Colony Cemetery with full military honors provided by the Sequatchie Valley Honor Guard.
