Palmer - Mr. James Nimrod "Jim" Blaylock, 81, died Thursday November 28, 2013 at Emerald-Hodgson Hospital in Sewanee, TN. He was born in Palmer, TN on December 6, 1931 to James Robert "Bob" and Allie Cagle Blaylock who preceded him in death along with his son, Eckerd Blaylock; sisters, Geneva Pemberton and Lois Dykes.
He is survived by his wife, Katherine Blaylock; daughter, Melba Diane McGee; brother, Robert Howell (Betty) Blaylock; caregivers, Tony and Buffy Anderson.
Graveside funeral services will be 12:00 noon Saturday at Brown's Chapel Cemetery with Minister Riley Anderson officiating. Visitation: 4:00 PM - 9:00 PM Friday at Layne Funeral Home, Palmer, Tennessee. www.laynefuneralhome.com
