Obituary of Donald Earl Savage

Donald Earl Savage (July 17, 1933 – December 3, 2013) Donald Earl Savage died on December 3, 2013 in Cincinnati, Ohio surrounded by his family. He was 80 years old. He was born in Palmer, Tennessee on July 17, 1933 to Pearl Stockwell and Jesse Lawson Savage, who preceded him in death. He graduated from the University of Tennessee’s College of Engineering in 1957, and went on to start his own consulting civil engineering firm, and later, an environmental services firm. He was a member of St. Paul’s Anglican Church. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Marian Vogt Savage and their four children: daughter, Sharon Amato and her husband, Rick and their children: Melana, Patrick, and Sean; daughter, Susan Savage Amodeo and her husband, Vincenzo; son, John Savage and his wife, Mary Pat and their children: Jackson and Ben, and daughter, Stephanie Savage Swischuk and her husband, Michael and their children: Owen and Ella; and his brother, Richard Savage and his wife, Anna and their family. Funeral services will be at 11:00 am Saturday in the funeral home chapel with burial to follow at Brown’s Cemetery.
