Beersheeba Springs - Mr. Michael John Hopkins, 61, died Wednesday January 1, 2014 at his home surrounded by his family. He was a US Army veteran. He was born in Columbus, Georgia on October 12, 1952 to William John and Carolyn Ida King Hopkins who preceded him in death.
He is survived by his sons, Michael and Chris Hopkins; daughters, Michelle (Tommy) Cartwright, Nicole (Kevin) Brown and Amanda King; brothers, Bobby Hopkins, Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Steve Hopkins, Martinsburg, West Virginia and David Hopkins, Atlanta, Georgia; grandchildren, Alexis, Courtney, Katie, Kara, MaKayla, Chelsey, Cheyenne, Kyler and Cayden.
Memorial funeral services will be 2:00 PM Sunday January 5, 2014 in the chapel of Layne Funeral Home at Altamont, Tennessee. www.laynefuneralhome.com
